Thus Spoke Zarathustra (or did he?)

Zoroaster (dates unknown)

I am not going to quote from Friedrich Nietzsche, although that would be the most important book written about Zoroaster. No, I’m going to quote something more recent.

‘For many centuries before Zaratas’s time, the Babylonian astronomers had concerned themselves with reading omens in the sky for the benefit of royalty. Inspired by his knowledge of the future unfolding of human history, into an age of increasing individualism and materialism, Zaratas introduced an entirely new art of prophecy, one that sought to describe the destiny of every individual human being. His clairvoyance permitted him to see the descent of the soul from cosmic heights, down through the planetary spheres, to Earth. Zaratas could also see that the planetary configurations at birth held the secret of the soul’s destiny. Through a divinely inspired suite of initiation practices, he taught the tupsar Enuma Anu Enlil this faculty of seeing the soul’s voyage into incarnation.

‘Especially significant for the Babylonian priest-astronomers was the passage of the Moon around the zodiac. They regarded the Moon as the gateway for the soul on its voyage into incarnation, and they could behold the “descent of the stork” at the moment of conception, when the archetype of the physical body (clairvoyantly beheld in the image of a stork) descends from the realm of the Moon to unite with the seed of the quickened embryo. By focusing their spiritual gaze on the Moon they could gain awareness of the moment of birth of the incarnating soul. With this threefold knowledge of the sidereal zodiac of twelve equal signs, the moment of conception, and the planetary configurations at birth, the tupsar Enuma Anu Enlil could read the “omens” for an individual’s birth. Thus originated the world’s first horoscopes. The oldest known horoscope—preserved on another clay tablet dug up from Babylon by British archaeologists in the middle of the nineteenth century—has been dated to April 29, 410 B.C., and is cast in terms of the geocentric planetary positions in the sidereal zodiac.

‘Zaratas impressed upon his disciples the importance of continuing this practice, not only because of the impending period of spiritual darkness, which would see humanity lose the brick pillar of star wisdom, but because of a particular event lying on humanity’s horizon. Zaratas spoke of the coming Saoshyant, a great king who would be conceived in the womb of a virgin, and who would be born to redeem the world: “They will take him and crucify him upon a tree, and Heaven and Earth shall sit in mourning for his sake.… He will come [again] with the armies of light, and be borne aloft on white clouds.… He shall descend from my family, for I am he and he is I: he is in me and I am in him.” He told his disciples to guard this secret, until the time came when they would see from the stars that he was to be reborn, and then to follow the star, and bear gifts and offer worship to him. It is evident that the original science of astrology came down through Zaratas, known to the Greeks as Zoroaster, whose name means “Radiant Star.” Its purpose was that humanity might welcome his own reincarnation as the Saoshyant, or Messiah, and through him come to recognize the Sun Being whom he called Ahura Mazda, the Source of the Good. Zoroaster inaugurated the tradition of the magi as stargazers dedicated to reading the heavens for signs of the coming of the Messiah. This tradition culminated with the three magi from the East; they were bearers of astrology as a living wisdom of the stars. The living star wisdom of the magi, based on the sidereal zodiac, was a true “pillar of stone” to endure through the coming time of darkness.’

OK. I’ve noted this chart before. But, obviously, this wasn’t the first chart, just the oldest one found, to date. The Yod pointing at the Moon seems significant, doesn’t it?

Well, doesn’t it?

Jesus Christ Hanging on the Tree of Life

I know full well that everyone interprets information in their own way. That’s why this painting is strangely provocative. In truth, the Tree of Life is the Kabbalah. And Jesus’ position is number 6, Beauty. But is this yet another clue?

What Jeffrey Furst Wrote…

“Indeed, many of the Zoroastrian tenets and rituals which have passed down through the ages and are known in the present bear a curious pre-Christian tinge. They practised baptism, circumcision, and a sacrificial mass with a communion of bread and wine. Their prophecies included the coming of a Messiah . . . who would be born of a virgin and visited by three Magi, or Zoroastrian wise men, who would predict His birth by astrological and numerological forecasts.” (Edgar Cayce’s Story of Jesus, page 109)

“According to the Edgar Cayce Readings the entity Zend was father to the first Zoroaster, there being numerous subsequent individuals with the same name. Then too, as we have previously noted, Zend was mentioned as having been one of the incarnations of the Master.” (ibid, page 107)

And Some of That Cayce Reading:

Q, Have I any experience through the earth plane been associated with Jesus Christ before He became the world teacher? If so, where?

A. In this same (Persian) experience, that of the brother . . . for He became then the leader in those lands, and much is still gained in thought from those of the Persian efforts in this direction; or, as is terms, in the present day, the Persian philosophy.

Q. What was His name at that time?

A. Zend.

Doesn’t that make the following quote more meaningful?

The Moment Lars Muhl’s “Old Life” Died

Total Solar Eclipse (March 9, 1997)

Courtesy of Wikipedia

It’s not often that a person can pinpoint the exact moment when everything changed. I had a similar point in time in December 1995. This is Lars Muhl’s.

On the day the album was released, I went to the beach to watch the announced eclipse of the sun and had the very extraordinary experience of seeing that all the rocks as far as I could see, big and small, were standing upright as if pointing to the sun. A sign? Perhaps a sign that the night was almost over.

Muhl, Lars. The O Manuscript (p. 32). Watkins Media. Kindle Edition.

The album was ‘Mandolina’ and the date was March 9, 1997.

This is the chart for that exact moment as it occurred in Moscow. (Just to be clear, Lars wasn’t there, but it’s the closest I could get to a recognizable place on the eclipse‘s path.)

To then combine this chart with Lars’ birth chart, allows us to see the death throes of his former life as a singer-songwriter. It was the day he was reborn into a spiritual life.

That, my friends, is a perfect resurrection. His ‘natal’ Neptune and Pluto are inconjunct, and forming a triple Yod, to the eclipse Sun/Moon/Mercury conjunction.

Life begins again.

The Seeker and the Seer

Lars Muhl (November 14, 1950)

Courtesy of Lars Muhl

I wouldn’t even be contemplating writing this blog if I hadn’t starting meeting this man in my dreams. It began two nights ago, when Lars showed up at a group get-together. I’d been following him on Facebook before that for a few months, after getting a link to a video from my friend, Christina. He is famous in Denmark for having been a singer-songwriter, but it is his story that has made him stand out in the Scandinavian entertainment industry as a spiritual ‘teacher’, for want of a better term.

Here’s part of his story:

I sent a request to the woman who does the correspondence on Lars’ behalf at larsmuhl.com but she was unable to confirm the timing of his birth, so I have rectified his chart to 2:45 pm, based on the death of his sister when he was 10, and his mysterious illness at age 45. Later, she told me that Lars asked me to change his birth time to 10:26 am. This moves Pluto into his 8th House of death, and the Ascendant to 15 Sagittarius. That puts Lars into alignment with my Ascendant at 19 Sagittarius.

There is but one inconjunct, which my chart has, as well (because we were born in the same year):

Jupiter Inconjunct Saturn

This aspect may signify great restlessness and unease, so that it is difficult for you to achieve a state of balance or feel calm and at ease. Often you have contradictory impulses; you want to plunge ahead into some relatively risky activity, but you are held back by feelings of caution or inhibition. It is often difficult to decide whether you want to act on your own or in a situation that is very structured and regulated. If your situation is too structured, you will feel closed in a repressed; you will want to break free and go off by yourself and do things your way. But when you get that freedom, you feel rather lost and at loose ends, and you find it difficult to set your own pace.

Meeting the Seer of Montségur

The first video I saw of Lars’ was The Seer.

Having a soft spot for this area in the South of France, I sat enraptured while viewing this video. What I couldn’t get over was the fact that he got to actually become a kind of Sorcerers’ Apprentice with this Seer. I wish I could say the same, but now it seems that I’m learning in dream time from that same Source. Thank you, Holy Spirit.

Did William Blake’s Wife Reincarnate as My Friend?

Catherine Sophia Blake (April 25, 1762 – October 18, 1831)

I can’t help it: I just had to find out if Catherine came back into my present life with the same name. I do not have permission to illustrate the ‘proof’ of this from my friend, Kate, but you can take my word for it.

This chart is rectified to the timing of Catherine meeting her future husband, William, when she was in her late teens (with the Mars position in Libra). The resulting overloading of planets in the 12th and 1st Houses speaks volumes about her character as his amiable help-meet. Evidently, Blake also taught her to ‘see visions’. That would be reflected by her Sun/Rising Sign (in Taurus) being trine to her Pluto (in Capricorn).

The Death Chart

This chart is randomized, and yet the Ascendant lands on the last minute of the last degree of Capricorn, on the threshold of Aquarius, no less! Very appropriate.

There is a double Yod pointing at Saturn at 11 Virgo. These inconjuncts are independent of the timing of the chart: Jupiter/Uranus in Aquarius, and Pluto in Aries. There’s another inconjunct linking the Moon in Pisces and Mars in Libra. Interesting.

As Kate passed on in the middle of February, 2021, I no longer have to be reticent to share her birth chart. Therefore, I am now able to compare Catherine’s death chart and Kate’s birth chart.

Catherine’s ‘fatal’ South Node in conjunct Kate’s Mercury in Aquarius, while Kate’s Sun is midway between Catherine’s ‘fatal’ Jupiter/Uranus conjunction. Kate’s Neptune is conjunct Catherine’s ‘fatal’ Mercury/Venus conjunction in Libra, while Catherine’s ‘fatal’ Sun is conjunct Kate’s Ascendant in the same sign. Finally, Catherine’s ‘fatal’ Ascendant is opposite Kate’s Midheaven. Is that proof enough?

Rest in Peace, my friend.

Is It Really Possible? Could I Have Been Him?

William Blake (November 28, 1757 – August 15, 1827)

Courtesy of Wikimedia

I wasn’t going to go here again, after deciding that John Varley was a better fit for me. And then I spotted the Peter Ackroyd book, Blake, in my office library. Looking through the first and last chapters, I found not only Blake’s birth time but also his death time!

So how can I resist the opportunity to compare his birth and death charts with mine?

That Yod pointing at Mars gives a hint of his ability to upset people, which he was prone to do. His brush with the law came when he was 45 years old.

Blake’s trouble with authority came to a head in August 1803, when he was involved in a physical altercation with a soldier, John Schofield. Blake was charged not only with assault, but with uttering seditious and treasonable expressions against the king. Schofield claimed that Blake had exclaimed “Damn the king. The soldiers are all slaves.” Blake was cleared in the Chichester assizes of the charges. According to a report in the Sussex county paper, “[T]he invented character of [the evidence] was … so obvious that an acquittal resulted”. Schofield was later depicted wearing “mind forged manacles” in an illustration to Jerusalem

Wikipedia

Saturn in Blake’s chart may, in fact, represent the timing of this event, but perhaps a bit earlier than it transpired. (That implies that the birth time of 7:45 pm may be a little bit later than it truly was. People didn’t note quarter and three-quarter hours on birth certificates in those days.) At any rate the opposition between Mars and Saturn is there.

Combining Blake’s birth chart with my own demonstrates the strong connections between us. My Sun/Jupiter conjunction is linked to his Saturn, my Mercury to his Venus, my Pluto to his Mars/Neptune conjunction, and most importantly, my Ascendant is conjunct his Pluto.

But if we are to believe Rudolf Steiner’s words, Blake’s death chart should be clear:

And it is. My Pluto is conjunct Blake’s ‘fatal’ Sun/Mercury/Mars in Leo, my North Node is conjunct his ‘fatal’ Pluto, his ‘fatal’ Jupiter is conjunct my Mars/South Node/Midheaven in Libra, his ‘fatal’ North Node is conjunct my Moon, and again, most importantly, my Mercury is conjunct his ‘fatal’ Uranus/Ascendant in Capricorn. OK. Take a deep breath.

*Exhale*

Now it seems that I am more likely to have been Blake than Varley. That may account for the preponderance of similarity between our poetry. And my ‘outlandish’ thinking about spirituality is also supported. Let’s face facts, we are both Gnostic. I know, I know.

In Light of Steiner’s Words: a Past Life Examined

John Varley (August 17, 1778 – November 17, 1842)

Courtesy of Wikipedia

In my third post (from April 2014) I speculated on whether I might have been William Blake in a past life. Upon further reflection, I decided I was more likely to have been John Varley. Now, since I have ‘perfected’ the ability to wheedle out the connections between charts, I’m going to specifically look at this man.

As you can imagine, this birth time is totally randomized, and yet, it bears an interesting echo of my own, with the Sagittarius Rising Sign @ 21 degrees. But that’s not proof.

Even the time of his death is unknown, so I set it for noon on the day. Now look what the comparison brings:

Lots of inconjuncts and a couple of Yods. Unfinished business, is my guess.

My Saturn (father) is the apex of a Yod featuring John’s Neptune (mystery) and Pluto (revelation). My Mars is conjunct his Mars, my Moon is halfway between his Mercury and the Sun, my Mercury is conjunct his ‘fatal’ Jupiter (and Ascendant if the timing’s correct), and, finally, my Jupiter is conjunct his Neptune.

Using the concept that Rudolf Steiner suggested in yesterday’s post, this would constitute ‘proof’ as far as I am concerned. *high five*

The First Superstar Astrologer

Evangeline Adams (February 8, 1868 – November 12, 1932)

Courtesy of Wikipedia

I’d never heard of this woman, until today. Does that seem possible?

Her claim to fame came at age 31 when she told the owner of the hotel she’d moved into that his life, or livelihood, was in peril. The hotel burned down that night!

Most people thought Evangeline Adams was a charlatan, a liar and a cheat, and she was arrested in New York and tried in court for being a fortune-teller. She was acquitted.

Strangely enough, no modern astrologers know exactly what time of day she was born.

The astrology sites have all followed Rodden’s suggestion of 8:30 am, including my Kepler 7.0 program, but that doesn’t feel right. There are two details noted by Ms. Adams, herself, that tells me that 8:30 pm would be better suited: her father died when she was 15 months (Saturn); and she moved to New York on her 31st birthday (Neptune). Her conscious awareness of her father’s demise would not have been clear until she was three, so the chart will now forever stand rectified, as far as I am concerned.

Is she a woman after my own heart? I think so, especially as her birth date is almost the same as mine. But her passing happened so long ago, that facts are in short supply.

Even her date of death is a coin-toss between the 10th and the 12th of November. I almost considered taking the 11th as the correct date, but then thought better of it.

I’ve randomized the timing of her death chart, but even so, there are close links between her birth and her death: the ‘fatal’ Moon is conjunct ‘natal’ Pluto; ‘fatal’ Mars is conjunct ‘natal’ Moon (which is on her ‘natal’ 12th House cusp); and the ‘fatal’ Ascendant is conjunct her ‘natal’ Sun. The Yod pointing to her ‘natal’ Pluto is connected to her ‘fatal’ Venus and ‘fatal’ Mercury. I think we have lift-off.

This was a very independent woman, in a time when it still wasn’t fashionable to be so. Even her ghost-writer, Aleister Crowley, had trouble sorting out who wrote what. She spectacularly missed the coming stock market crash of 1929, but her fans remembered the hits and forgot about the misses.

Skeptics point out that Adams had no knowledge of economics and that her predictions were always fuzzy, foretelling disaster but not specific disasters, and telling that the market would go up when in fact the country was in a period of remarkable growth in the stock market. People who believed often forget the erroneous predictions and used the ones that happened to come true to “prove” that she was accurate.

Quoted in the Wikipedia post about her

Even looking back, I might have missed that ‘crash’, except for the benefit of hindsight…

So, just to put the cat among the pigeons, I wonder if Ms. Adams has returned, with a similar name. Interesting…

Ah, So I’ve Been on the Right Track, After All

The Astrological Revolution

Courtesy of Kobo.com

While researching images for a reincarnational post on Facebook, I came across this book. Of course, I had to buy it! If nothing else, it will prove the things I’ve been saying since I was in my mid-teens. Take, for example, this quote from Rudolf Steiner:

When individuals pass through the gate of death, they die under a certain configuration of stars. Such a configuration is significant for an individual’s further life of soul, since it remains as an imprint. The endeavor to enter the same configuration at a new birth remains in one’s soul to do justice once again to the forces received at the moment of death. It is an interesting point that, if one works out the configuration at death and compares it with the configuration of the later birth, one finds that it closely coincides with the configuration at the previous death.

Life Between Death and Rebirth, page 97, November 28, 1912

On its own, this is wonderful confirmation! But, other than David Wilcock and Edgar Cayce, the reality is a bit more fuzzy. For example, if a person dies in one life and is born again before the year is out, the larger, slower planets will not move too far. So, it’s the smaller, more personal planets that need to recreate the energy of the person.

In my experience, this happens more easily when the lives being compared are centuries, and even millennia, apart.

And there are little hints, as we saw with Adolf Hitler and “John Doe”, that echo of a connection, but don’t necessarily lock the two lives into sync with each other.

So, watch this space…
