Yet Another Ad I’m Having a Hard Time Finding

OLG “Excitement Builds” Scratch Cards

I’m not sure why this is even important to me, except that it demonstrates my ability to recognize actors and actresses who are in different ads.

The Wrigley’s Extra Gum ‘after the pandemic’ ad, shown above, features an actress I had never seen before. I have yet to identify her. The elusive OLG TV ad is presently playing on TV in Ontario. Two people, one of which is this same actress, are scratching off game cards while electronics and fireworks signal their excitement as each number is revealed. But can I find evidence of it on social media? No.

Happy Birthday, Lady Starkey

Barbara Bach (August 28, 1946)

I looked at Ringo Starr, a day-or-two ago. Now, I want to focus on his second wife, Barbara Bach, whom he married in 1981. Today is her presumed 76th birthday. I say presumed because her birth details are all over the calendar: I’ve seen August 27th; I’ve seen 1947; with sometimes those two details together. But the only thing consistent with all astrology sites is a birthtime of 3:30 am.

Hmm. Interesting… I wasn’t expecting to see Saturn conjunct a Leo Ascendant. In fact, I would have bet against that very aspect. She doesn’t appear to be under any controlling circumstances, unless you suggest that her beauty gets in the way of her being taken seriously by the model and acting worlds.

What about Her Marriage to Ringo?

They’ve been together now for more than 40 years. Somebody has to be doing something right.

Ah, now that makes sense: she’s Ringo’s anchor. Her ‘suspect’ Saturn conjunct Ascendant in Leo is perfectly conjunct his stellium of Pluto/Mars/Moon/Mercury in Leo. She keeps him ‘contained’.

Isn’t love grand?

Are You Getting the Point, Yet?

Trump Accusations

If ever there was an illustration to encapsulate the hypocrisy of Donald J Trump, it’s the pointy finger.

When you come from a position of deflection, there is no stronger message than the one that seeks to place blame, shame and innuendo onto others. But Trump has forgotten that there are three fingers pointing back at himself, every time he points out others’ missteps: “lock her up;” “only the guilty plead the 5th;” and “they’ve all got it in for me.”

Hmm.

The three fingers and the pointed index seem to spell “Me”

Hmm, again.

Who Says You Cannot Know When You’ll Die?

Final Destination (2000)

The idea that your death is predestined is the premise behind this film (and the other films in the franchise). You cannot ‘cheat death’ although we like to think we can: when your number’s up, it’s up.

I have mentioned previously that, at the end of the DVD for this film, which I watched at Ross and Rosanna’s home in Swansea, South Wales, UK in early September 2001, is an interactive ‘game’ in which you answer questions about your life and your final destination date is revealed. (Interestingly enough, this was about 10 days before 9-11.) At no time did the program ask when I was born, so the whole exercise seemed to be based on nothing but my present health and lifestyle. (This was also 18 months before I was diagnosed with type-2 diabetes.)

The answer the DVD program gave me was December 7, 2019.

Well, I’m still standing, so Death hasn’t come for me, yet.

The Chicken has Come Home to Roost

Donald Trump and the “Lock Her Up” Chant

Image courtesy of New York Post

It has been noted before that Trump likes to ‘flash’ the world his confidential information. This image is an example. Other examples, stated previously, include interviews about secret weapons. The American people must have been crazy to elect this man into their highest office. But maybe they actually gave him enough rope to hang himself.

So, the question, as always, is “how secure were the documents?” And, who is this woman?

Everything about this birth chart could be fake: her name, place of birth, and time. The most consistent thing is the date of birth: September 18, 1988 on most of the identification, only once changed to September 18, 1990. But, just to see what was going on that day in Ukraine, I have erected this chart.

Wouldn’t you know it: there are two inconjuncts, neither of which are dependent on a correct time of birth.

Mars Inconjunct Pluto

You have a strong will and always want to have your own way. But very often it seems as if tremendous forces are working to prevent you from getting what you want. If you have this problem, it is because of the way you go about trying to achieve your ends. If you put too much force into your desire to get something, you may unknowingly alienate people because your aggressive manner shows that you will let nothing stop you from getting what you want. Even if that isn’t the way you really feel about it, you should recognize that your forcefulness creates this impression.

Jupiter Inconjunct Neptune

You are an idealist with very vivid dreams about how you want your life to be, and at certain times in your life you will follow those dreams with all your energy. But sometimes these idealistic dreams will let you down, because you are not concerned enough with what is real and possible.

Probably you should not gamble or take excessive risks at any time in your life. Your dreams in this area also will probably go far beyond reality, and you will take chances that can’t possibly be realized.

So: is she a spy, or just a fantasist?

Either way, her association with Trump is concerning because it shows his gullibility and his lack of discernment about the people with whom he is associating.

He Has Been Described as “Off-Beat”

Sir Richard Starkey (aka Ringo Starr) (June 7, 1940)

What they were referring to was his drumming style. It made him unique in the pop/rock world.

He is the last Beatle I will look at through these posts. Ringo Starr knew he would be a star, and the rings on his fingers sealed the deal as far as his name goes.

Very suspicious, this timing: five minutes past midnight? Well, since everyone else uses that birth time, who am I to argue? But the image of the aspects comes across as bland, in my opinion. I suspect that the way he was recruited at age 22 by Brian Epstein to join the Beatles might be pointing at Neptune at that age. Who knows?

To say the Cosmic Cross of Venus opposition Midheaven square Uranus opposition Ascendant can explain a lot, is an understatement. He keeps time, as evidenced by Saturn in Taurus in the final degrees of a very large 1st House. And the stellium of Pluto/Mars/Moon/Mercury in Leo in the 5th House probably adds weight to the idea of his personality being the most popular of the Beatles, although the others thought otherwise.

Need I say anything more?

Dream: Who’s Driving This Bus, Anyway?

Not Me

OK. Here’s another vivid dream involving a mode of transportation. Most of the time, I ignore these types of dreams, but the one last night just begged me to make mention of it today in this post.

The culminating image was of an amateur driver walking away from the steering wheel while the bus was in motion on a city street. Rosanna (my daughter) grabbed the wheel in time to avoid hitting a pedestrian who was standing in the middle of the road. But then she ran into a car that was parked there.

This dream is a stark reminder that I’m not in control of my life: I’m just along for the ride.

My only hope is that the bus that we’re on (the Earth) doesn’t crash.

This must be the effect of Uranus turning retrograde in Taurus

Posted in personal | Tagged , , , , , | 2 Comments

This Happens Every Year for Seven Years, but We Forget:

Retrograde Uranus (in Taurus) August 24, 2022

Uranus is transiting Taurus at the moment: it takes about 7 years to complete its journey through the sign. We tend to lose sight of its influence because it takes so long, but we’re reminded of its significance when it turns retrograde, like it did this morning @ 9:54 local time.

On a global scale, this can be experienced as an upset to the ‘norm’. And has it ever been so far: Uranus entered Taurus on March 7, 2019. It will finally move on to Gemini on July 7, 2025. That’s a long time. We are sitting at the mid-point of that transit and Uranus went retrograde (backward motion) an hour ago.

The four points of the chart are the most affected. Are you one of those individuals?

This was the previous time, last year. Appropriate, isn’t it?

The idea that one can carefully research every decision is turned on its head during the retrograde. Just following the American political scene is proof of its revolutionary status as the disruptor of normality.

Bless.

Warning: Be Careful What You Wish for…

Seven of Cups

Again, I was surprised to have this Tarot card drawn during the impromptu reading on July 31st.

Sure, I’m a dreamer, “but I’m not the only one.” It’s the secondary meaning, deception, that was troubling me. Am I just fooling myself? Am I painting rainbows in the sky? What’s really going on?

Here is what my Tarot of the New Vision book says:

A man with a far-away look dreams of seven chalices full of strange things. Two women watch him, one with admiration, the other with trepidation. The chalice contents symbolize desire and fear. We can see a snake (sexuality), a person with his head veiled (the subconscious), a head decorated with flowers (love), a dragon (fear), a crown of laurel leaves (success), necklaces and other precious objects (richness), and a castle (basic personality). Very briefly, this card depicts the contents of the mind and various ways of facing them, represented here by the two maidens near the main character. One is mesmerized while the other is terrorized. In both cases, facing that “performance” will be inevitable; the end results cannot be taken for granted.

Main Meanings

Your thoughts or projects seem unlikely: pure fantasy. Sooner or later your artistic creations will be appreciated. Erotic fantasies need realizing.

Really? At my age? I guess some things really don’t go away.

The descriptions of the contents of the cups reminded me of my Psycard deck, especially the snake symbolizing sexuality and the dragon symbolizing fear. Here are the relevant cards:

Normally, This is the Worst Tarot Card to Get Drawn

XV The Devil

When Susan’s cousin drew this card for me in my Tarot reading at the end of July, I was a bit shocked.

Normally, I avoid negativity as much as possible, but its position in the middle of the spread reminded me that I cannot become whole unless I embrace the shadow side of my personality.

This is what my Tarot of the New Vision book says:

A gigantic demon sits on top of a small slab of stone. Its characteristics mirror the traditional iconography. Its large bat-like wings suggest its nocturnal nature or, rather, the spiritual darkness it represents. Its goat’s head and legs suggest its animal traits and sexual instinct. Its feet and clawed hands indicate aggression. It is necessary to look closely at these elements in order to thoroughly understand the meaning of the image we’re looking at.

Points of Power

In both the animal world and our own, horns are the symbol of a superior power. In fact, there is a linguistic connection between the terms horn and crown (coronus and corona in Latin and karnon and korone in Greek). In this case, the Devil’s horns, together with the head, hide the geometry of an inverted star (a so-called Pentacle, a symbol of magical power). The five points of the star, representing the five primary senses, are exalted here. This is the inversion of Pythagorean philosophy, in which the points of the Pentacle remain upright.

The devil’s claws are instruments of offense and defense, but also suggest the creature’s ability to seize its conquests. Ultimately, the devil expresses the materialistic desire for power, in any shape or form…and the need to possess it, even through occult means.

A Light in the Night

Let’s consider for a moment the image’s nocturnal dimension. Night is the domain of the unconscious mind: the absence of reason, the realm of imagined monsters and other forces that emerge in the absence of sunlight. But this night isn’t completely dark: the demon itself produces light with the torch it holds in its left hand. This detail reminds us of the myth Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods to give it to humans. Prometheus was a civilizing hero, but his gift (like any scientific discovery) brings dangers, too. The Devil’s torch, then, illuminates the risk we take when human intelligence delves into Nature’s deepest mysteries.

Slaves of Desire

The torch itself sheds light on a man and woman chained to the stone slab. It also reveals the very excited demons before them in the flames, symbolic of both passion and emotional disturbance.

The couple reminds us of Adam and Eve, who, after being expelled from Earthly Paradise, fell into the material world and became subject to desire. Their physical appearance shows that sin has partially transformed them; their horns and tails, in fact, suggest animal traits. This beast-like nature is balanced by the beauty of the human body that was made in the image of the Creator.

Breaking Free of the Chains

Basically, the couple shown here are slaves to passion: a potential present in us all, along with a fear of destiny. When you become aware of your slavery and fear, you break the chains of frustration, tear away your limitations, and find, in an affectionate relationship, the balanced state of mind required to escape this sad condition of impediment.

As far as the Devil is concerned, he will always stay on his pedestal (like a totem of desire), restraining whoever tries to escape his power by casting light on their real nature. Even from among those who try to flee him, the Devil seizes anyone who can be seduced by the fascinations, mysteries, and pleasures of the flaming Abyss.

Main Meanings

You can go a long way with just a little charm and persuasion. Original ideas and attitudes are appreciated, provided they’re not vulgar, because sexual activity can be expected. Give way to your desires, but don’t give in to suggestions or temptations.
