Fountain: Can Lightning Strike Twice?

The Old Steyne, Brighton postcard

In just about five weeks time, Fountain International will be re-enacting the Brighton Experiment from 1981 that became the Birth of Fountain. So, will it be as successful?

The Chart

ExperimentBrightonWREJC1

On its own, the new experiment has a similar energy as the original, but the timing does raise a major difference. This one is in the spring, rather than the autumn, and in the afternoon, rather than the evening. These things matter to humans, but have no effect on the Universe. However, the powerful conjunction of Jupiter, Mars, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn is fully contained within the 5th House, the home of playful love. Last time, most of the planets were fully contained in the 6th House, the home of service.

So, it is useful to remember that as time moves on, the focus changes, always.

FountainTheBirthofWREJC2

But it is only when you combine the two charts together do you get a picture of what this re-enactment is really all about.

FountainTheBirthofWBAGE2

As you can see, there are several Fingers of God (Yods) pointing at important planets and positions. That makes this event spiritually significant.

But what does it mean for us humans?

If you are old enough to have lived through the early 1980’s, you will perhaps have a rosy retro-vision of those times. But just a review of historical events of September 1981 will be a bit of a shock. During that month alone, the USA and the USSR were both testing nuclear bombs! Oh, and the Smurfs debuted on television. Two extremes.

After the SALT talks, nuclear testing stopped, but in recent months ballistic missiles are becoming operational again. The Americans and the Russians are becoming more militant. China has recently been sidelined by COVIC-19, so the whole world is holding its collective breath, in order not to be affected. And other things have been evident.

So, this re-enactment is more global than the original experiment.

“What the world needs now is love, sweet love…”

Wanting to Meet My Maker

1_-3W_7-W0fplW6TXWLUORww

A Short Story Written by My Mother

When my sisters and I were going through our Mom’s papers after her death in 2003, we came across a short story she wrote. I do not have the text, now, but I have a vague memory of what was on that page. This is the story to the best of my recollection.

I am leaving my usual life. My time has come to move on to the next level of my existence.

I begin thinking about what it would be like to finally meet my creator. Would I be welcomed? Would I meet others there? It will all be so exciting.

Then my consciousness starts to leave my body. As I progress down the dark tunnel, I see at the end a brilliant light. That light keeps drawing me on and on, slowly bringing me to the threshold of my new life.

Finally, after an indeterminate time, I arrive at my destination, and break through to a bright and shiny space.

“Where’s my Maker?” I ask.

“Here she is…” a voice answers.

A strong energy picks me up and places me… on my mother’s chest!

“Welcome, little one. You’ve come a long way, today.”

I look at her face, and she smiles at me. My whole body fills up with warmth in response.

I’d forgotten how much love there is between a mother and her daughter. It’s beautiful!

Our Lady of Lourdes

unnamed

St. Bernadette’s Marian Vision

There must have been something in the water. As it turns out, there still is.

Healing powers, for one thing.

The Pyrennes are known for spiritual energy.

And the Cathars were part of a culture that venerated the descendants of Mary. These things are fact.

So, exactly why did Bernadette see “The Immaculate Conception”?

The Event

SoubirousBernadetteWBAGE2

I’ve timed Bernadette’s Marian Vision to a search for wood after breakfast. It was also timed to bring the ‘event’ Ascendant into line with the Pluto in her chart. And that’s when you can see the other linkups: the ‘event’ Sun/Venus being intersected by Bernadette’s Neptune; the ‘event’ Mercury transiting her ‘natal’ Saturn; the ‘event’ Mars transiting her birth Ascendant. These are all significant conjunctions.

Bernadette was having trouble with her French and Catechism lessons. She was also sickly enough to miss a lot of schooling. In other words, she was mostly illiterate. She would be perfect for spiritual instruction.

Now, I’m not making a judgmental statement here. It’s just that those with a more simple faith have a better chance of experiencing spiritual truth when it’s presented to them.

Also, Bernadette needed to take the healing waters herself. Mary’s purpose was to help the young lady enter the next level of her existence more perfect than she was now. It’s not every day that a visionary gets made into a saint, one whose body seems incorruptible. Is that what was St. Paul meant by putting on incorruption?

1 Corinthians 15:52-53 (KJV)

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Amen.

“Getting Old is a Gift” Grandpa Eddie

p9coi9y3pv241

Jumanji: The Next Level

We came to see this one last night, two month’s late. It’s been almost that long since we last went with our granddaughter, Brigitte. This time, her Auntie Zanna was visiting from the U.K., so that made it special.

As always, this franchise delivers a “hero’s journey” in the form of a computer game, but having Rosanna sitting beside me during the viewing allowed for shared thoughts, out loud. And the movie gave us a lot to discuss.

Movie (and Computer Game) Homages

I must admit something to you, the reader: I’m not a big fan of computer games, so I don’t get most of the cultural references for them. But I’ve always loved going to the movies, so each new level in the story seemed to be a homage to one favourite film or another.

At The Start: Indiana Jones

Starting out in the jungle meant that the movie was in familiar territory, but there wasn’t any ‘treasure’ here. It also means that almost every level of this film references Indiana’s adventures. We are introduced to the Avatars, and a hippo and a giant cobra create the lesson that is needed to be learned: you need eyes in the back of your head.

First Level: Lawrence of Arabia

Now, this one wasn’t too hard to figure out. Nothing but desert sand everywhere, and they even played the theme from the movie in the background. But the lone figure in the distance wasn’t a Bedouin played by Omar Sherif, it was an ostrich. We definitely weren’t in Kansas anymore. Lesson? You can’t outrun ostriches, you have to outwit them.

Second Level: Star Wars

An oasis bar in the outpost of some barren landscape put me in mind of the Cantina scene of any outlying planet in any out-of-the-way galaxy. They even had a Jabba-the-Hutt-style villain. Casablanca, the Casbah, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves — you name it, it’s being referenced here. Lesson? Don’t piss off your ex-flame’s husband.

Third Level: Harry Potter

Okay, this one wasn’t totally about the staircases at Hogworts, but also about some Super Mario games. The mandrills were ferocious. And the wooden bridges were almost hypnotic in their ballet-like dances. Lesson? Listen to the geometry expert.

Fourth Level: Lord of the Rings

It looked like we were back in New Zealand. Beautiful landscapes, high, rugged mountains, crystal waterfalls: maybe it was supposed to represent Canada. But it was also a moment of rest and reflection on the past. Lesson? If you don’t feel quite like yourself go for a swim; you’ll be a new person.

Fifth Level: Inception

A Nazi mountain fortress figures strongly in many films. That this should be the fifth level made Rosanna comment on its reflection of the inner levels of dreams in that movie. The “Falcon’s Heart” (aka ‘treasure’) is being kept in a safe here (as it is in our inner selves). By now everyone’s on their last life: it’s do or die! Lesson: your liberation ‘seed’ was hidden in the Jumanji Berry — in other words, ‘buried’.

Conclusion

“Bring the Falcon’s Heart to the sunlight.”

‘Nuff said?

The Saints Preserve Us!

bernadette

Bernadette Soubirous (Jan 1844 – Apr 1879)

It was on this date in 1858 that 14-year-old Bernadette first saw an image of the Virgin Mary at Lourdes. There followed a series of visitations by the mother of Jesus, but only Bernadette could see her.

One has to ask: was Bernadette crazy?

Birth Chart of a Saint

SoubirousBernadetteWREJC1

The timing of this chart has been rectified (mainly because no one knows what time Bernadette was born). I feel that divine visitations only happen through the energies of Pluto. So I set the timing to allow the Pluto ‘event’ to happen when Bernadette was 14 years (plus one month) old. Now the chart has a more profound aspect to it: the Yod (Finger of God) formed by Saturn and Uranus pointing to the Midheaven; a heavenly sign, for sure.

Saturn Inconjunct Midheaven

Even while you are young, you prefer work or a serious activity to play. As a result, you may prefer the company of older people. You also like structured situations in which you must do certain things at certain times, with your duties and time limits spelled out for you. Later in life you are likely to adopt a rather strict routine of daily living, because the structure itself gives you confidence.

Uranus Inconjunct Midheaven

You need to express your thoughts and feelings, but you often upset the people around you with your words. You seem to enjoy creating a stir every time you say something, but this can get you into quite a bit of trouble with parents, teachers and other authority figures. The underlying principle of this aspect is the need to balance your individual self-expression and manner of communicating with your need to learn and grow under the guidance of older people.

The Prophecy

“Your Holiness, the Holy Virgin told me that with the end of the 20th Century the end of the age of science would follow. A new era of the Faith will begin everywhere on Earth. Eventually the evidence is found that it was God who created the Earth and Man. This will be the beginning of the end of the sciences; the people will not believe in them any longer. Millions will turn back to Christ…” (from The Apocalypsis according to St. Bernadette Subirous)

Interesting.

Conclusion

Ñ

We scoff at a spiritual truth which was given to us more than 160 years ago. But that’s the point here: it is true, whether we believe it or not.

These things are known at another level.

“No doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should.” (Desiderata)

Truth in Advertising: the Eyes have It

QUESTRADE INC. - Questrade celebrates award for 3rd consecutive

Questrade

As with all advertising campaigns, this latest one from Questrade is inspired. Because we are so good at reading people’s faces, they gave us a series of television spots that feature individuals with honest expressions on their face, in particular their eyes. And the people, to whom they are speaking, look shifty and evasive. (The video links have been removed.)

Truism: Spokespeople have to appear trustworthy

So, Questrade’s bright idea was to have their customers (paid spokespeople) look honest while the other guys look like ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing’.

PACSTK6QMZEWNIEKM4ERMOFCC4

This was the image that first caught my eye in 2018. The baby had been watching the advisor with an innocent look, while her mother showed a clear-eyed response to her words. The baby then grimaced and looked away with a slightly furrowed brow. That’s powerful messaging: if a baby doubts what you’re saying, you’re toast.

I believe the catchphrase with this one was: “I can’t afford to support both of you.”

maxresdefault

And this man’s open and honest face clinched it for me. He had been asked by the advisor if he’d thought about investing through him, just like his parents had done. His answer? “I’m already investing online…”

Conclusion

Stock market trading is a speculative game: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But Questrade’s reasonable idea behind their advertising is that you don’t have to throw away a large percentage of your money by paying large brokerage fees.

“Invest through us, and keep more of your money for your future.”

Well, here’s another thought:

Save your money and don’t gamble on a losing proposition. End of message.

It’s My Party and I’ll Try if I Want to…

Happy 70th

Happy 70th

Most birthdays seem insignificant. Usually, I’m a bit blasé about them. But this one feels different. I suppose embarking on my 8th decade might be enough.

However, there will be a full Moon in Leo tonight, and that is making this one more important than usual.

2020 Full Moon in Leo

2020LeoFullMoonWREJC1

On its own, the Leo full Moon is spectacular for highlighting three inconjuncts: Sun and Midheaven; Moon and Neptune; and Uranus and Ascendant. I won’t bother to document what they mean, in general.

Now look at the effect on my own chart:

MillerChristopherDavidWBAGE2

There are now twice as many inconjuncts with this transit, and two of them are forming a Yod, specifically highlighting Neptune in the ‘event’ chart. Quite revealing, I’d say.

At the same time, the ‘event’ Sun is transiting my natal Sun, as you would expect on my birthday. My natal Mercury is in the middle of the Saturn/Pluto conjunct, and my natal Pluto is being transited by the Moon, so the effect is powerful, indeed. And my usually un-aspected Uranus is inconjunct to the ‘event’ Ascendant. Whoa!

Let’s hope I don’t implode, or explode, overnight.

Oh, and we’re celebrating my birthday a day early, to accommodate others’ schedules.

Happy, happy…
