Spiritual Newspeak

The New Age Lexicon

I am conversant with these terms. That’s what makes this book so delightful. But because most of the entries are cleverly written and sometimes so ironic, that unless you know what the original purpose of the words were, you will be totally confused.

Here’s a sample of one longer passage, which calls to mind mediumship and séances.

control

(a) Quality that is of limited popularity in New Age circles.

(b) Spirit guide: source of guidance for mediums or channelers.

It goes without saying, of course, that the quality of guidance depends totally on the quality and validity of the control. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way of checking this objectively, other than by attempting to assess the quality of the guidance itself.

By which time it may be too late.

A story from an entirely unrelated field may help to illustrate the point.

A fellow student-pilot was being trained to do instrument flying in Harvards — noisy single-engine monoplanes dating from the 1930s, and seating two pilots fore and aft. For instrument flying the student sat under a hood at the back so that he could not see out. The instructor sat at the front to take off, land, and tell the student what sort of a tree he was going to hit.

Shortly after take-off on this occasion the instructor, as usual, called out “You have control.”

“I have control,” responded my friend, following the familiar patter.

Then he realized that there was no stick.

The explanation was simple. The previous flight had been a solo “mission” (as the Americans and Canadians, with their highly-developed sense of the dramatic, love to call an ordinary run-of-the-mill trip or sortie). During solo flight, with the sole pilot sitting in the front cockpit, the rear control-column would normally be removed to prevent it from getting caught in the rear seat-harness. But nobody had thought to put it back.

My friend was faced with the inevitable consequence. There was nothing but an empty hole.

Nothing daunted, he decided that he had better fill it. Having nothing better to fill it with, he used his finger. He then attempted to fly the aircraft with it while he groped for the stick in its rack with the other hand. The bewildered instructor found himself careering all over the sky. He was about to write off his pupil totally as an instrument-pilot when the stick finally clicked home.

It was at that moment that, for my friend, the stick truly became the “joystick” of popular mythology.

PXN-2113-Hot-PC-USB-Flight-Joysticks-Vibration-Joystick-Rocker-Flighter-Simulator-Game-Controller

Though I should explain that the term’s original connotation, which referred to its angle and position relative to the pilot, had nothing to do with flying, and everything to do with matters that are not suitable for mentioning in polite society such as yours. Nor, indeed, anything to do with control.

Nevertheless, the point is made. Submitting yourself to an unknown and dubious “control” is a risky business. Actually placing yourself in its power may endanger your very consciousness.

Not least because that control (whatever you may care to believe about higher intelligences and spirit guides) is actually located (by definition) within your own unconscious.

True, once you have handed over control, you may prefer to think that the celestial Air Traffic Controller is in charge. But you may simply have assigned control to whoever is in the other cockpit of your own brain. And whether there is anybody there or not, or whether that somebody has the wherewithal to accept the responsibility, is something that you cannot possibly determine.

For all you know, they may simply be wrapping you around their little finger.

Enigma: The Thoroughly Modern Myss

carolyn

Caroline Myss

I don’t do this very often. A friend from our Faith & Science group found an interesting post on the internet. It was an analysis of Caroline Myss using the Moon’s lunar periods to explain the timing of her life. I’d never thought to do that.

But the post did divulge Ms. Myss’ birth details, so I took it as a sign that I could utilize the information and share it with the world.

The Chart

MyssCarolineWREJC1

I’ve said many times that it is impossible to know someone, unless you have walked a mile in their moccasins. What I didn’t expect to see was the fact that Caroline’s Ascendant is within 1º of my own (19º Sagittarius). OK. That shows me that we’re coming from the same place, and speaking the same truth.

As Caroline is a public personality, I think it is only fair to share what I can see in her chart, especially the inconjuncts and the obvious Finger of God (Yod) pointing at Jupiter.

Sun Inconjunct Jupiter

It is important to discipline your habits and try not to do anything to excess, as you may tend to do. You may gain a great deal of weight, for example, or damage your health in other ways. Laziness and physical softness are very great dangers with this aspect. You may tend to be sloppy in the way you dress and take care of yourself.

Nevertheless, this aspect has possibilities for positive and helpful energy. You may be a very optimistic person who helps people in need at the critical moment. If so, others will help you when you need it. If you can control yourself and keep from going overboard, you will find that you can be quite lucky. But don’t assume that luck will always carry you through. Work as hard as you can to get what you want and act fairly and honestly with others; then the luck will be there.

Jupiter Inconjunct Midheaven

The problem with this aspect is to find a balance between, on the one hand, expressing yourself creatively, perhaps artistically, and having a good time and, on the other hand, getting ahead in life, learning the ways of the world and finding an acceptable role in society. You know you will have to make sacrifices in order to accomplish anything of value.

Moon Inconjunct Venus

You need to be loved, even more than most people, particularly by your mother or another woman who takes the place of your mother. This need for love will be the force behind many of your actions. If you don’t find the love you are looking for, you will develop an insecure hunger for love from everyone you meet. However, you may express this in very strange ways, such as a desire for food, especially sweets, which unconsciously represent love to you.

Uranus Inconjunct Ascendant

Your need for freedom may interfere with your close relationships. When you are with others, even those you like, you feel very restless but you can’t get up and leave because you want to be with them. This is typical of the ambiguity that comes with this transit. Certainly, the more others try to restrict your freedom of movement, the more you try to get away.

The restless energies of this aspect should be given some kind of release, because otherwise they can turn inward to create the kind of rash and compulsive actions that lead to accidents. If you have accidents, it is not because you are unlucky, but because you are not careful at critical times. Learn to avoid any kind of dangerous activity when you are nervous, upset or feel that your energies are scattered.

Conclusion

Caroline Myss is a modern mystic. In her career she has been, and still is, a psychic medical diagnostician. Her chart shows signs that she is very shy, almost panic-stricken by public speaking. And yet, there she is, out in front of people, speaking her truth. She comes across as a stern teacher, but her soul is having a really good time helping others.

We should all aspire to do the same.

Is Masada a Myth?

3502720798

Herod The Great’s Fortification

Sometimes, you just have to be there, to get some idea of what’s gone on behind the scenes. This picture, above, reminds me so much of Montsegur. But that’s where I am reminded that the victors get to write history. The losers cannot, because they’re dead.

Flavius Josephus wrote about this siege and its denouement in his Jewish Wars. But Josephus wrote about a great many other things, and I should point out that the translation here gives a very useful background to the times of Jesus Christ and beyond.

Like all good writers, Josephus did not have to be factual to be effective. In fact, using Shakespeare as an example, history takes on a life of its own through the written word. And speeches quoted by the writer can be paraphrased and adapted from other sources and even other incidents. Read the article from Haaretz to see how others have gauged Josephus’ reliability as a scribe of history.

Today, Israelis see Masada as a symbol of Jewish resistance to foreign domination.

Pompeo vs. National Public Radio

106354755-1579905598248preview

He says that Mary Louise Kelly Lied to Him Twice.

What? A politician claiming that a seasoned journalist lied to him? Pot-kettle-black…

My cousin, John Miller, writing as The Journalism Doctor, has something to say about it.

Trumping Truth

Mary Louise Kelly has been a journalist for 25 years. She anchors the American daily news show All Things Considered on National Public Radio, and usually asks tough questions but, in my opinion, fair ones. She is an experienced reporter, previously for CNN and the BBC, and has a masters degree in European studies from Cambridge University.

Mike Pompeo, the oil-rig salesman who Donald Trump made his secretary of state, has branded her as an unethical liar, part of what he calls the “unhinged” media that are out to sabotage anyone loyal to the U.S. president.

So let’s unwrap what happened when Kelly interviewed Pompeo the other day and see who’s right.

To say it did not go well is an understatement. Pompeo accused her of violating “the basic rules of decency and journalism” and lying to him twice—once by going back on an agreement to ask him only about Iran, and again by reporting on what happened “off the record” after their taped interview ended.

Friday’s interview was mostly about U.S. policy in Iran but it went off the rails as soon as Kelly asked him about Ukraine and specifically whether he defended or should have defended Marie Yovanovitch, the U.S. ambassador in Kyiv whose ouster was ordered by Trump.

Here are excerpts from the transcript of the interview, released by NPR:

MIKE POMPEO: You know, I agreed to come on your show today to talk about Iran. That’s what I intend to do. …

KELLY: I confirmed with your staff last night that I would talk about Iran and Ukraine.

POMPEO: I just don’t have anything else to say about that this morning…

KELLY: Sir, respectfully, where have you defended Marie Yovanovitch?

POMPEO: I’ve defended every single person on this team. I’ve done what’s right for every senior person on this team.

KELLY: Can you point me toward your remarks where you have defended Marie Yovanovitch?

POMPEO: I’ve said all I’m going to say today. Thank you.

Immediately after those questions, one of Pompeo’s aides concluded the interview. Pompeo stood, leaned in Kelly’s direction for several seconds, glared at her and left the room. She was then invited to follow Pompeo into an adjoining room.

Kelly said Pompeo’s staff did not stipulate that the post-interview meeting was to be off the record. “That same staffer who stopped the interview reappeared, asked me to come with her—just me, no recorder—though she did not say we were off the record, nor would I have agreed.”

What happened there was newsworthy and disturbing.

Kelly claimed Pompeo started shouting, repeatedly using the F-word. He asked her “Do you think Americans care about Ukraine?” — an incredibly insulting statement for America’s top diplomat to say of a foreign ally, one he is scheduled to visit this week.

“He asked if I could find Ukraine on a map. I said yes. He called out for his aides to bring him a map of the world with no writing, no countries marked. I pointed to Ukraine. He put the map away. He said, ‘People will hear about this,’ and then he turned and said he had things to do, and I thanked him again for his time and left.”

Pompeo, in a statement issued Saturday, did not deny shouting at Kelly and did not apologize. Instead, he said the incident is “another example of how unhinged the media has become in its quest to hurt” Trump and his administration. Pompeo, a former CIA director and Republican congressman from Kansas who is one of Trump’s closest allies in the cabinet, added: “It is no wonder that the American people distrust many in the media when they so consistently demonstrate their agenda and their absence of integrity.”

Then, in an unkind slam at Kelly, Pompeo wrote: “It is worth nothing∗ that Bangladesh is NOT Ukraine.” He appeared to be claiming that Kelly pointed to Bangladesh on the map, identifying it as Ukraine.

So what are we to make of this?

The truth is important to unravel, since Trump and his loyalists have more or less declared war on the news media, effectively sowing doubt in Republican ranks that anything written by professional reporters can be believed. That gambit serves their own interests but it is harmful to democracy.

Is Pompeo asking us to believe that he, a politician who has been interviewed countless times, does not know how to negotiate an off-the-record briefing?

Do we really think a reporter of Kelly’s experience would misidentify Bangladesh as Ukraine? The two countries are nearly 6,000 kilometres apart, and Ukraine is four times bigger and located in Europe, not Asia.

Absent any agreement on off the record, do we want to know that Pompeo insults America’s allies in private and believes that Americans do not care about Ukraine? Of course we do. Any reputable reporter would consider that newsworthy.

And by the way, why in hell does the U.S. State Department have a supply of blank maps of the world on hand? Are they used to give reporters insulting, high-school level geography quizzes to see what they know, or are they something much more significant—briefing material for a president with a short attention span, perhaps?

As for Pompeo’s touchiness on being asked about the removal of the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, the State Department has for weeks declined repeated requests to offer any public defense of Yovanovitch. Pompeo has not spoken about why she was abruptly recalled last May, and told to be on the next plane out.

The ouster of Yovanovitch is central to the impeachment inquiry into Trump, who faces a charge that he abused his presidential power by pressuring Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden, using military aid to the country as leverage. Testimony showed that Trump’s allies were trying to have Yovanovitch removed from her post because they thought she might stand in the way of such an investigation.

On Sunday, Trump came to Pompeo’s defence, tweeting about whether the country needed a news organization like NPR.

You’re damn right it does.

Unlike the Trump administration, it is dogged in pursuit of the truth and it defends its employees who have unjustifiably come under attack. Nancy Barnes, NPR’s senior vice president of news, said in a statement that “Kelly has always conducted herself with the utmost integrity, and we stand behind this report.”

[∗ I suspect the word should have been “noting”, but all the media reported the same word, “nothing”.]

Star Wars as Spiritual Truth

51lX8It1zCL._SX336_BO1,204,203,200_

Harpur’s Heaven and Hell

This book from 1983 is a series of essays written by Tom Harpur and published in The Toronto Star newspaper. I’ve had a copy of it since about 2007. It’s still one of my great reference books.

Here’s one chapter:

Star Wars

Star Wars (1977) is one of the most religious films ever to be shown in a secular movie theatre. In fact, George Lucas’s space fantasy is filled with more specifically Christian motifs than most sermons are. The description may well come as a surprise to most of the hundreds of thousands who have seen the film to date—perhaps even to Lucas himself, writer and director of what Time called ‘the best movie of the year’. Obviously, as he has pointed out, his aim was simply to make an imaginative entertainment that would sweep audiences out of the theatre into the high adventure and romance of a struggle in an unknown galaxy many thousands of light years from earth. He wanted to combine his love for Flash Gordon and other such heroes, past and present, with all the wizardry of space-age technology, to create a new epic, a myth for the future.

Nearly all the elements of the classic fairy tale are present in the film: good against evil; the heroic few who triumph over seemingly all-powerful hordes; the lovely princess to be rescued; the magic sword; the aged, all-knowing counsellor and friend. But Star Wars is more than a rehash of the themes of childhood fantasy decked out with some of the most breath-taking, and at times hilarious, technical effects and creations ever screened.

Like painters and poets, film-makers too may create works whose meaning or impact is different from what they had conceived, and perhaps deeper. Looking at Star Wars from the religious angle—a perspective largely neglected by critics so far—throws fresh light on the secret of its deep appeal and its enthusiastic acceptance by young and old alike. Consciously or unconsciously, Lucas has touched a nerve at the centre of our being. Wittingly or unwittingly, he raises the key religious questions of our time in his space fable. While at one level it is possible just to sit back, suspend thought, and ‘watch the good guys win’, at another level there is a basic message. Although the message focuses on issues central to all religion and mysticism, often the reference point seems specifically Christian. This is not to say that Star Wars is a ‘Christian movie’—whatever that might be. But much of the symbolism clearly does derive from Christian sources.

The story itself can be summed up as follows. In another galaxy, in another time, a republic flourished, ruled by wise senators and protected by Jedi Knights. But it fell prey to inner rot, and power-hungry men soon forged the sinister, totalitarian Galactic Empire. The Jedi Knights were exterminated and a reign of terror began that penetrated to even the remotest systems in the galaxy. Here and there, nevertheless, existed pockets of resistance, rebels pledged to overthrow the emperor and restore freedom. Luke Skywalker, a young man who is bored with farming life on an obscure planet and longs to see wider worlds beyond, is suddenly thrown into the vortex of this climatic strife. Together with a mysterious old man named Ben Kenobi (the last remaining Jedi), two comical robots, a cynical starship pilot, and his huge anthropoid companion, Luke embarks on an intergalactic mission. The purpose is to wipe out the key to the empire’s power, the terrible planet-destroying Death Star, and to rescue the princess Leia who alone has discovered the one small chink in the enemy’s armour.

This unlikely group battles the Grand Moff Tarkin, evil governor of the Imperial Outland Region, and Lord Darth Vader, his malevolent henchman who was once himself a Jedi Knight but has betrayed his former master, the Force. Aided by the Force, which the aged Kenobi describes as a kind of ‘field of energy all around us and within us’, Luke’s star-fighter at last destroys the Death Star, and peace and justice are once again assured.

Kenobi’s role is highly significant. His constant phrase, ‘May the Force be with you’, resounds like a benediction. He teaches Luke to rely on the Force rather than on his own wisdom or space technology for ultimate victory. It is by obeying this instruction at the height of the horrific final battle that Luke is able to prevail. Kenobi’s obvious power—almost sorcery—over others, his extrasensory awareness of cosmic events, his assurance of ultimate victory, suggest a more-than-human source. Finally, when he is slain in combat with the traitor Vader, his body vanishes into thin air, leaving only his robe and the echoing assurance: ‘The Force will be with you always.’

Kenobi is clearly a kind of Christ figure or symbol. He assures the others he will be more powerful in death than in life. For example, he continues to guide Luke through the final battle. As in the story of the empty tomb in the Gospels, only his robe remains after death. Vader, Kenobi’s arch-enemy, is described as once having been a disciple of the Force and of Kenobi. Now the symbol of all that is sinister and evil, he was once a ‘prince of light’, like Lucifer who fell from being the brightest of the angelic host to become Satan, the prince of evil. We are reminded also of Judas, the disciple who held a privileged place at the Last Supper, close to Christ.

To the basic religious questions—Is man alone in the universe? Is he but the plaything of fate? Will the crushing weight of evil necessarily triumph? Is death the end?—Star Wars answers with an unequivocal no. Again and again the movie sounds the note of freedom of choice, the challenge to become involved against the forces of evil, the call to be the ‘salt of the world’, the creative, saving minority. The spontaneous applause so often heard at the film’s conclusion suggests more than simple relief that the baddies have been defeated or delight in the exquisite cinematic hardware. There is a sense of the righteous of these deeper affirmations.

As all recent surveys in Canada and elsewhere have shown, modern man is profoundly religious in his searching, however turned-off he may be to organized religion. Most traditional or professional theologians will probably scoff at the notion that Christ can be seen in the rather weird figure in a science fiction plot; some Christians may even take offence. But as Bishop John (Honest to God) Robinson has said in a recent book, for many people today traditional language about God and Christ has broken down. He argues that some of the most profound religious statement are likely to be found hidden ‘in fiction or art, in psychology or drama’. Star Wars does not fall into the ‘most profound’ category. But it does talk about religious ideas in terms the average person can identify with. Religious leaders would do well to see it, discuss it with their congregations, and use it as a starting point in seeking to bridge the obvious communication gap between the pulpit and the pew.

Seeking the Hidden Treasure in One’s Self

the-parables-of-the-treasure-and-pearl

I had another dream last night. It involved the discovery of an error in calculation. Specifically, the over-estimation of a value or quantity in my inventory of assets.

Still too oblique?

It doesn’t matter, really, because the important point was that I found where the mistake was: in me…

The Pearl

We value the pearl as a thing of beauty. But we forget that it was some minor source of irritation that stimulated the creation of a pearl, usually thought of as a grain of sand.

We all make mistakes: it’s part of the human journey. Most of the time, we would rather forget that they’d even happened. But those moments of indiscretion, our ego irritations, are what make us as valuable as pearls to the spiritual realms.

Holier Than Thou

We all know the type: they look down their superior noses at we lesser beings.

But most of the time, what they are really doing is trying to cover up the fact of their own errors and omissions, in other words, their own sins.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

Our human journey is really just a way of finding out where we have gone wrong in the past, in order to help us find the only worthwhile and true path to take to the future.

We’re in school, folks.

Conclusion

Acknowledging mistakes, but forgiving ourselves anyway, is the only sure way to pass the test. Nobody gets 100% on their first try. That’s why we are allowed to resit the exam as many times as it takes to get a ‘perfect’ score.

So: what have you learned today?

How Humanity Came to Be

81FD8+st2kL

Nothing in this book is true, but it’s exactly how things are.

I can’t believe that I haven’t quoted from this book before. I found it in the late 1990’s and aside from its jokey title, there is nothing funny about the contents.

The point of this post is, in part, to show an alternative narrative to the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (as originally told in Genesis). Along the way, other books are referenced, some of which I have already shared with you. But let’s get to the issue:

We were a Hybrid Species

Now my discussion will drop back about four hundred thousand years in our history. Here I will incorporate information from both Thoth and researcher and author Zecharia Sitchin, in particular Sitchin’s books The 12th Planet and Genesis Revisited.  Sitchin believes that there is another planet in our solar system, the Sumerian Nibiru, which has an elliptical orbit similar to that of a comet. It takes 3,600 years for the planet to make one complete circle of the sun. The people on this planet, called the Nefilim, came to Earth more than four hundred thousand years ago. Thoth doesn’t say why; in fact he never mentioned the Nefilim by name. He only told Drunvalo that there were giants on the Earth at the time (the Nefilim ranged from ten to sixteen feet in height). Sitchin claims the reason they came was that they needed gold for their atmosphere. In Genesis Revisited, he writes:

On their planet Nibiru, the Anunnaki/ Nefilim were facing a situation we on Earth may also soon face: ecological deterioration was making life increasingly impossible. There was a need to protect their dwindling atmosphere, and the only solution seemed to be to suspend gold particles above it, as a shield.

So they came here to mine gold. After two hundred thousand years or so of enforced labor the miners rebelled and decided to create a subservient race— which is us— to mine the gold for them. It is notable that in southern Africa in the oldest known gold mines, archaeologists have found the bones of Homo sapiens and artifacts that go back at least fifty thousand to a hundred thousand years. Sitchin asserts that the Nefilim created us about three hundred thousand years ago, but Thoth is very exact. Thoth says we were created exactly 200,224 years ago (from 2009). Sitchin theorizes that the Nefilim created us through genetic experiments, but according to Thoth they couldn’t do it alone. They had to have help from outside the solar system. That external help came from a familiar source. The Sirians joined with the Nefilim to create us. The Nefilim first landed in the ocean and emerged as half-men and half-fish. They went underwater initially to make contact with the dolphins, who were on a similar consciousness level with them. They had to check in and get permission to do what they wanted to do. According to the Sumerian records, the Nefilim first went to southern Iraq and built their cities. They then went to southern Africa to mine gold.

The Sumerian records are round clay tablets that came out of the ancient Sumerian cities, the cities mentioned in the Bible. These records, discovered only in the last century, are the oldest sources of information, bar none, on the planet. Sitchin is one person who has the ability to interpret these records.

Again, Thoth said there were giants and that they became our mother. He said that seven of these beings dropped their bodies and formed spheres of consciousness. They merged into the seed of life and created an ovum. When seven beings link together geometrically in this way to form the seed of life, a flame appears, four feet tall and of bluish-white light. It is cool but looks like a flame. This was then set in the “Halls of Amenti.”

The Halls of Amenti is a very ancient place, built more than five and a half million years ago. No one knows how old the Halls of Amenti really are or who erected them, because of that event five and a half million years ago that broke the Akashic Records of the planet. Remember— even though history on the planet goes back five hundred million years, we have access only to the last five and a half million years.

The Halls of Amenti is actually a dimensional warp in space resembling a womb. There is only one way in, but once you get there it is like being in infinite space. Such a warp sits always one dimensional overtone higher than the vibrational level of the Earth. It is located usually 440,000 miles out in space, but during the era of Atlantis it was on the surface of the Earth. Now it is a thousand miles inside the Earth. Drunvalo has been allowed into the first room, where there is a pyramid. Inside the pyramid is a golden-mean room made out of stone. In the middle of the room is a cube. On top of the cube is the flame.

Simultaneous preparation for this creation or trans-semination was being made on Sirius B or, more precisely, the third planet out from Sirius B. Sixteen males and sixteen females who comprised a married family there traveled to Earth from Sirius B and went directly to the flame in the Halls of Amenti. They lay down and merged with the flame. Their conception period here was two thousand years. These two separate races were involved in our creation— one from Nibiru and one from Sirius.

Thoth said that we were originally placed on an island off the coast of southwestern Africa called Gondwanaland, and that we were placed there primarily so we could not leave. We were there fifty thousand to seventy thousand years. From there we were brought to southern Africa. Interestingly enough, African creation stories all agree on one piece of information. They all say their people came from an island off the southwestern coast of Africa, called Gondwanaland.

According to Sitchin’s interpretation of the Sumerian texts in The 12th Planet, after the Nefilim created us to work in the gold mines of Africa, some of us were brought to Mesopotamia to help in the gardens in E.DIN. The “gods” loved us because, after all, we were made in their own image. But in the garden in E.DIN where the Nefilim had their orchards we were told not to eat the fruit of a certain tree— called the tree of knowledge. We disobeyed. Eating this fruit and gaining its “knowledge” was significant because it gave us the ability to reproduce sexually. Up until this point we were hybrids, a cross between two different species, and we were incapable of reproduction. Sitchin interprets the Sumerian texts as saying that modern humans are a cross between the Nefilim and Homo erectus, the predecessor of Homo sapiens. It is through Thoth that we get the additional information about the role of the beings from Sirius.

Not surprisingly, the Nefilim did not want us reproducing. They wanted to maintain control of their own experiment. The knowledge we gained from eating the fruit was not scientific as such— it was the knowledge of how to procreate, how to turn ourselves from sterile hybrids into a new species fully capable of reproducing. The Nefilim were angry when we gained the ability to reproduce, and they made us leave the garden. According to scholars of ancient texts, the Sumerian records precede the Biblical records, and the Biblical creation stories seem to be a summary of older Sumerian texts.

Although we had to leave their garden, the Nefilim allowed us to grow food on our own. We went to the mountainous area east of the gardens in Mesopotamia. According to Thoth, we remained there for a long time. But then there was a big shift in consciousness and another pole shift, and Gondwanaland sank. Many of the survivors went to Africa, but the most evolved went to Lemuria, a land that rose above water when the other continent sank.

21And the LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and He clothed them. 22Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil. And now, lest he reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever…” 23Therefore the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.…(Genesis 3:21-23)

Now we have the Knowledge of Good and Evil

…and look what we’ve done with it.

And still, what’s the most important resource we mine? Gold.
