The Wellspring: Maturity

(Flashback to) October 30, 1991

In the times when God was King,

there was a small group of adepts, who served as channels for Divine Thought for the people that they served. It was a time when humanity was more peaceful, and closer to nature. It was a time of harmony and balance, when people cooperated, not only with one another, but with the environment, and were more in tune with the Divine Will. They served with the fires of sacrifice, burning incense, and with purity from the earthly plane, were receivers of Divine Wisdom. Life then was far more simple and straightforward, and all played their part in union and with common purpose.

Since these times, there has been a slow disintegration of society, and of yourselves. You gradually lost that collectiveness, as you went to seek in the nooks and crannies of earthly living, to find that which you perceived as hidden from your view — indeed, in a search for knowledge, to see that which you could not see — and in so doing, you moved further and further from the clarity and light that you had once known.

It was a necessary part of your experience, and something that you chose to do. In so doing, you became separated and disconnected, not only from each other, but from your fellow humans also. It was a time of darkness and despair.

Very gradually, through your many lives, you ‘pitted out’ and started to ascend back into the light again, rather like clambering out through the mouth of a volcano. It has not been easy and has taken many lifetimes to see once again the light, and still the sulphurous air of the volcano sticks to you and fills you with a sense of fear.

You have an opportunity, in this incarnation, to burn together, again, the sacrifice of incense, and to stand, this time, with full knowledge of the darker nature of mankind, rather than in the innocence that you once had. You have the opportunity, once again, to be the channels of Divine Inspiration and aid to others, but you perceive yourselves as being somewhat tainted and tarnished by life’s experience, and there is a wish for the innocence you once had.

But, the whole process has been that of maturing,

and now, as you burn your incense, and you worship and channel, you have maturity, knowledge, understanding and compassion that, in your innocent state, you never had. Now as you do your work, maturity is your greatest asset — no longer blithe and immature, no longer simplistic and totally trusting in something greater, doing only ‘Thy Will’.

Now as you serve, you are aware that the work you do is necessary, and not done out of obedience to some higher force. without All Knowledge; that you must do it because it is necessary, now that the power and desire come from within you, rather than from a ‘transcending’ command.

There is nothing that you do not know, there is now nothing that you have not experienced in your many lifetimes. You have done it all, you have seen it all, and you have been it all. There is within your Being the pain, the guilt, the sorrow, the despair, but also the strength, the wisdom, the clarity, the understanding and the compassion that you have learned from these experiences, which now make you worthy and fit to stand once again at the altar, and be the contact between the spiritual and material forces.

You are now at an apex of having been there, gone right down into the depths, struggled and clawed your way back, this time knowing why you do it.

THIS TIME YOU KNOW.

All You Need is Love…

Mahatma Gandhi (October 2, 1869 – January 30, 1948)

1931

I cannot think why I haven’t done Gandhi‘s birth chart until now. As always, the intention was there, but so many other things cropped up to distract my attention. However, I’m not the first to look at his chart.

This chart was already on my Kepler 7.0 program, with a time of 7:11 AM. Looking at some other astrology sites, their rectified time was 7:08:12 AM, but I wondered what exactly they were focused on. I chose his ‘venturing forth into the wider world as an innocent abroad’ @ age 18 (Neptune). That makes the time 7:25 AM and his Ascendant is now in the final degree of Libra. Neptune then figures strongly as the inconjunct to the Venus/Mars conjunction in the 1st House of Personality. The Venus/Mars conjunction is also in direct opposition to Jupiter/Pluto conjunction, all squared to the Moon. Hmm.

Moon Square Venus

You are so afraid of being disliked that you give in to others to avoid getting into a fight or making an enemy. By being very friendly and charming, you make others like you, but if you do this too much, you will not develop a very strong character. You tend to think that the more people like you, the better you are.

Moon Square Mars

On the positive side, you are an excellent fighter for anything you believe in. Just be careful not to become inflexible about your beliefs, because being wrong is not the worst thing in the world. And when you are justly right, you will strive and fight for what you believe in, with more inner conviction as well as more convincingly to others.

Moon Square Jupiter

This is a very positive aspect, but it can have some drawbacks. You are a very positive and cheerful person who likes others and is generally well like. Your high energy level makes people feel good in your presence and even cheers up those who are depressed. You feel good about yourself as well.

But you must learn to control yourself somewhat, for you tend to overdo whatever you get involved in, even to the point of physical exhaustion. This may affect your digestion, causing discomfort and irritation. Even when you are totally worn out by some activity, you may feel that you have to go on, so learn to relax.

Moon Square Pluto

This aspect means that your emotions are often so intense that you seem to be at their mercy. Your feelings even affect your behavior, causing you to act without thinking. The habits you learn early in life will be difficult to break, so it is important to form good habits now. You will also get so attached to places and persons that it will not be easy to break away from them.

Venus Inconjunct Neptune

This aspect means that your attitudes about love and affection are very idealistic, as will become clearer later in life. Also it can be a sign of creative artistic ability if there are other indications of creativity in your chart.

You are willing to serve, help and assist those you love, but you may honestly feel that you don’t deserve to be loved unless you are forced to serve your loved one in some way. This is because you feel that loving someone requires you to make sacrifices and to deny your own needs and that love may not necessarily make you feel good and warm.

Mars Inconjunct Neptune

With this aspect you must learn to stand up for yourself and demand your rights forthrightly and directly. Often you feel that you don’t have enough energy to assert yourself or that any such effort would be futile.

Sometimes this aspect operates on the physical plane as well. You may have a generally low energy level and feel tired all the time but not able to sleep because of nervousness. You may actually need more sleep than others, and if so, you should try to get it. This aspect may also indicate that you tend to have allergies and infections.

Venus Conjunct Mars

Sometimes you may be unsure whether to assert yourself, give way to the other person’s demands, or compromise, although that can be the most difficult choice of the three.

Venus Opposition Jupiter

The only thing that stands between you and total success in life is the need to be more disciplined and restrained. You have the ability to handle people well, if you choose, and you can make yourself liked. But if you waste your time now, you will regret it when you are older. It is your nature to enjoy doing things on a grand scale, but make sure you really have the means to carry out your plans.

Venus Opposition Pluto

Your close, emotional relationships with others may be difficult at times unless you make an effort to do the following. First of all, make sure that you don’t try to hold on to your friends too tightly. Let them do what they want when you are together and allow them to have other friends as well. Sometimes you feel threatened if a friend shows more attention to another than to yourself.

Mars Opposition Jupiter

This is a very positive aspect, signifying a great deal of energy and a buoyant, optimistic enthusiasm that attracts others. However, you may have some difficulty getting along with people when you are expected to work cooperatively, because you are naturally competitive rather than cooperative. Your competitiveness is not nasty or abrasive; you simply enjoy a good, spirited contest.

Mars Opposition Pluto

As you get older, you will become very ambitious, and you must make a great effort not to become ruthless. Always maintain high ethical standards, for otherwise you could create powerful enemies who will frustrate your plans, no mater how good your intentions are. And it must be said that even if you act honorably, this aspect sometimes signifies serious conflicts with others that you seem to have no part in causing. But acting morally and responsibly should minimize this.

Jupiter Conjunct Pluto

You have a strong drive to achieve something of significance, and you want to have the power to make positive and creative changes in your world.

Conclusion

Now, can you see why the only path Gandhi could take was nonviolent resistance? Otherwise, he would have failed in his quest to free India from British rule.

Love is all you need…

Government: By the People for the People?

Aristocracy vs Liberty

Phineas Quimby was a very opinionated man. And having witnessed first-hand the American Civil War meant that he based his thinking on what he saw going on around him. Politically, he equated priests and doctors to the aristocracy, and noted that the minute anyone tries to dominate another by using their authority, the second one wants to break free from that control. Essentially, this is what it means to be human.

Slavery is a case in point, and the reason for the South wanting to secede from the Union. No man wants to be a slave to any form of government, but total freedom will devolve into anarchy, in the end. And that is where conservatism comes into play. Here’s what Quimby wrote:

The false assertion that disease is in any way connected with God leads to slavery which is opposed to every good thing. Slavery in mind or matter is of Satan. Science will explain it so that man will free himself from the opinion of priest and doctor and will allow their laws to stand as a warning to all generations as they pass along through the world of progression. Then evil ideas which once stood as truth shall be as a valley of dry bones, hated by all who see them. This will be the fate of the leaders of all kinds of slavery who have deceived the people through falsehood. This truth, springing like a phoenix out of the ashes, has become a prince of peace and he will establish his kingdom in the hearts of men. Then the devil in the form of religious and medical teachers will make war on the principle of freedom. Every artifice will be used to set the minds against science and every false belief will be appealed to in order to make a successful false issue. For instance, certain political leaders say that if the North had done right, this rebellion might have been avoided. Beware of such reasoning. Remember that freedom never makes war but Aristocracy always begins a quarrel, for if the reverse was true, then man could do evil that good may come. But he who loves the truth says, Let God be true and every man a liar. In other words, admit that Science is true and opinions false and then no one can arrive at a truth by admitting an error. To acknowledge slavery right is to allow an error that good may come. If the leaders can only establish the idea that the liberal party began the war, then everything will be brought up to make the Republicans responsible for the war. But if the truth is established that freedom is the natural condition of the mind and to oppose it and make war against it is fighting against God and Science, then every person will be very cautious how they speak against an institution that has caused so much bloodshed. Then a death blow will be struck at its roots and all that is heard is the gnashing of its teeth in the agonies of death. Its friends scattered throughout all the civilized world as warnings to tyrants and it will become a byword and reproach among nations and here endeth African Slavery.

White slavery or disease must go through the same process to meet its doom. The weapons will be reason and the warfare will be carried on upon the platform of intelligence. Its opposers will say to the party in favor of freedom, Go on, the people are too ignorant to listen to the words of wisdom. We have such a hold on the minds that they think their theory is as solid as a rock. But when the wind of science blows upon it while they are eating and drinking or talking and preaching their error, the storm will come and they will be swept away down the streams of time into the gulf of despair. And like the swine, they will be swallowed up in the ocean of forgetfulness. Before this takes place, men will doubt reason and question. Opposition to the old faculty will spring up; different arguments will be used till the idea that medicine must be used to cure disease is exploded. Parties spring up opposing drugs but believing in disease, and finally this sin will be denied. Then it will be a question to settle, Who invented disease or began it? And beware how you admit that it is from God, for this doctrine will be urged on the people. Abide by the truth that man is the inventor of the disease as he is of African slavery.

Quimby, Phineas. Phineas Parkhurst Quimby: His Complete Writings and Beyond (p. 247). Phineas Parkhurst Quimby Resource Center. Kindle Edition.

Now that might seem to be a very extended simile or metaphor, but his reasoning is logical: man is the inventor of the disease…politically and in health. Quimby is not the only one to say something similar.

Edgar Cayce: Karma and Reincarnation

Many Mansions (1950)

Signet 1967 edition cover

This is one of the first books I read about Edgar Cayce’s work. It was written the year I was born. Now, once again, I have a copy in my possession, thanks to my wife, Susan.

‘The Cayce readings frequently give counsel for the proper attitude to take with regards to karma. The following passage gives a particularly pointed suggestion:

If the experience is used for self-indulgence, self-aggrandizement, or self-exaltation, the entity does so to its own undoing, and creates for itself that which has been called karma and which must be met. And in meeting every error, every trial, every temptation, whether they be mental or physical experiences, the approach to it should always be in the attitude of: “Not my will, but Thine, O God, be done in and through me.”

‘”Thy will” can be understood, of course, in two senses: either as the “will” of God, which expresses itself through the impersonal laws of the universe, or as the will of the eternal identity, the Oversoul, who, in the esoteric tradition, is the Father to whom we address our prayers. Whichever interpretation is placed upon the phrase, acquiescence and trust should mark our attitude toward whatever karma may come our way.

‘In the universe of order and justice and beneficence which the reincarnation principle reveals. there is no need for fear.’ (page 73)

Some Good Advice from Edgar Cayce

Soul Astrology

I was researching this morning’s post when I accidentally came across this passage in “Edgar Cayce’s Story of Jesus”.

“In the development, then, that man may be one with Father, (it is) necessary that the soul pass — with its companion, the will — through all the various stages of development, until the will is lost in Him, and he becomes one with the Father.

“The illustration of this we find in the man called Jesus. This man, as man, makes the will the will of the Father; then becoming one with the Father, and the model for man…

“When the soul reached that development in which it reached earth’s plane, it became the model in the flesh, as it had reached through developments in those spheres, or planets, known in the earth’s plane, obtaining then the One in All.

As in Mercury pertaining of Mind.

In Mars of Madness.

In Earth as of Flesh.

In Venus as Love.

In Jupiter as Strength.

In Saturn as the beginning of earthly woes, that to which all insufficient matter is cast for the beginning.

In that of Uranus as of the Psychic.

In that of Neptune as of Mystic.

In Septimus (Pluto?) as of Consciousness.

In Arcturus as of the developing. (900-10)”

Good summation, eh?

When the Morning Stars Sang Together (Job 38:7)

Creation

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… (Blake)

During a face time conversation with Rosanna, I happened to mention this fragment from Job 38. I knew Edgar Cayce had spoken of it, as well, so I went looking for the proof, this morning.

Tetragrammaton (‘four-letter word’) is the Hellenistic term for the Hebrew name of God. The name itself, YAHWEH, has six letters, but in old Hebrew only the consonants, YHWH, were written down. The text of the piece is a compilation from the Book of Job of the Old Testament, specifically from “God’s answer to Job” (verses 38:4-18). The conclusion of the first stanza of the selected text (“when the morning stars sang together, as the wind announced upon the waters the glory of the coming of man”) is not a literal translation from the Bible, but is borrowed from Edgar Cayce, the 20th-century American mystic.

Christos Hatzis: Tetragrammaton

The LORD is our respectful way in English of saying YHWH‘s name, just in case you’re wondering.

Job 38

1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,

11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;

13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.

15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.

16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?

17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,

20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?

21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?

22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?

25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;

27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?

35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?

36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?

37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,

38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?

39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,

40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?

41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

This questioning of Job by the LORD continues on for three more chapters. As you can imagine, Job was completely flummoxed by this. In his humility, he answered:

“I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. Hear, I beseech the, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:2-6)

In The Beginning – Genesis (Edgar Cayce’s Story of Jesus by Jeffrey Furst)

‘In the beginning was the Word, the Word was God, the Word was with God. “HE MOVED”. Hence, as He moved, Souls, portions of Himself, came into being. (263-13)’

‘The entity (2497) was in the beginning, WHEN ALL WERE IN THE SPIRITUAL FORCE, when the morning stars sang together in the glory of the coming of the Lord to make possible the developing of man’s influence in the world.’

[…]

‘Before that the entity (341) was among those when the forces of the Universe came together, when upon the waters there was the sound of the coming together of THE SONS OF GOD — The morning stars sang together, and over the face of the waters there was the voice of the glory of the coming of the plane for man’s indwelling. (341-1)’

These quotes, from pages 33 and 34 of Furst’s book, were where I’d first read the words of the title…

And, according to Edgar Cayce’s Source, Jesus, in his past life as Melchizedek, was the author of the Book of Job. Now, what do you think about THAT?

The Wellspring*: Chakras – Awakening from a Dream

October 24, 2021: *New Channelling (XXIV)

Through the energetic centres (called chakras) comes information.

These are connected to the universal field which unites the impulse of creation. With the increase in energy, the chakras begin to “glow” brighter and have more power. In a state of stability, the forces can manifest through the power of thought and require clear judgement about the desired effect. If this energy is misused towards selfish ends, the impact will be greater and consequently more severe. But with the higher intent, all move toward the desired outcome of the New World Order that has been prophesied.

The tiredness many are now feeling is due to these new energies, and the integration does take more out of you than you have been used to.

Another effect is a feeling of detachment from previous issues of importance, as you are refocusing your awareness to new directions. This detachment can feel somewhat negative at first, as you feel unmotivated. This will gradually pass, as you are drawn towards new projects and spheres of interest, rather like awakening from a dream.

I was Joking about the LSD…

Stan Lee (December 28, 1922 – November 12, 2018)

My daughter, Rosanna, reminded me that Stan Lee died in 2018. One must never speak ill of the dead.

I’d originally randomized his chart to the time of 1:18 pm. Then I saw how close Venus was to the Descendant. That’s why I rectified the chart to 1:45 pm, highlighting his getting married @ age 25.

That Grand Trine linking his Mars/Uranus conjunction with Jupiter and Pluto looks about right. But the inconjunct between Mercury and Neptune (and not dependent on a correct birth time) is very important.

Mercury Inconjunct Neptune

The challenge of this aspect is to make your thinking and communication with others more clear. Your rational mind is strongly influenced by your sensitivity, imagination and ideals, although you aren’t always sure how this happens. You tend to spend too much time in your own imaginary world that no one else can share, and this confuses your dealings with others. You will have to learn to face reality, so that you can at least communicate with people. Otherwise you will have a very lonely life.

Sometimes this aspect means hat you are so nervously sensitive that you pick up all the negative psychological energies around you and react to them very strongly. If this is true for you. the only way to deal with it is to be moved to a peaceful, positive environment. If there is too much noise or too many bad vibrations in your life, you will withdraw more and more and refuse to face reality.

Your self-confidence needs to be built up as much as possible so that you can face people without fear, tell the truth about yourself and be honest in other ways as well.

Even if you do adjust easily to reality, you should always have a quiet place where you can be alone with your thoughts. Here you can let your imagination run free and become a creative force instead of a force that works against you.

In school you are not likely to be at your best in math and science, but you could be quite strong in creative arts, literature and other areas where your sensitivity would be an advantage.

Do You Want Proof?

“If I Could Turn Back Time…”

Doctor Strange (2016)

I caught the second half of this film last night on CTV. Since I don’t remember commenting about the film on these pages before, I will do so today.

To me, I was reminded of three films: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Inception, and Tron, combined. The Dormammu is an update on the MCP (Master Control Program). And that’s the film’s lesson.

The Destroyer of Worlds wants to destroy Earth. But, evidently, only Doctor Strange can go outside Time and Space to confront Him. By keeping them in a time loop, Doctor Strange wears down the patience of this energy, until he gets what he came for: the saving of Earth and mankind.

But at what cost? There’s always a cost…

Stan Lee must be on LSD. How else can he invent these characters? Maybe he’s a reincarnated Gnostic.

Really? Hmm.
